The Vent Cover is an item that is found blocking vents.
Obtaining[edit | edit source]
This item cannot be crafted and the only way to get it is to unscrew a vent cover with a Screwdriver or Powered Screwdriver (removing it with any cutting tool destroys the cover.)
Usage[edit | edit source]
As an item, the vent cover has no use. If Guards see that the vent cover is missing, you'll be placed into solitary in The Escapists. If they see a missing cover in The Escapists 2, they will head to the Control Room and trigger an increase in Security Level. To avoid these consequences, use the Fake Vent Cover or put the Vent Cover back. After putting it back, the Vent Cover's durability will be at 5% (In TE2 this will be 10%).
