Usage
The Rope is an Item in The Escapists which can be used to scale down walls or tie down other inmates or guards to keep them out of action for a few hours (Note that it has a One-time use on guards/inmates!). This can be useful to disrupt a work schedule, keep an enemy (with a low opinion) from beating you up during something important or to make a hostage out of guards during a prison takeover attempt. Unfortunately, it is a Limited-Use Item, which means that it will degrade every time you use it. It degrades by 25% every time you use it (by going to a lower part of the roof). When all guards in a prison have been successfully knocked out and tied with rope, the doors with white locks will be opened, and you will be free to leave. The warden will also send you a message ("Okay (Name), You've made your point! The main prison gates are unlocked as requested... don't hurt anyone else!")
Obtaining
Can be bought from inmates, found in their desks or on a knocked out prisoner. Some guards will sometimes have them.
